the book launched with glorious spangles last thursday. the totally unofficial results from someone who obviously had absolutely no idea what he was talking about are that we sold enough books to make the ny times bestseller list. unfortunately, i don't think they track photobooks sold at office supply stores. pictures here.
so the question now is, should i shave or should i grow now?

in my paws
after some hiccups in the delivery department, i finally have a finished copy of the book in my paws. it is real pretty. sasha, my editor, says it's going to look like a piece of candy on the bookshelf. i flipped thru her copy while she whipped up a sadar dinner for some friends- too afraid to take the wrapping off mine. it was overwhelming. coupled with my cold and a late afternoon iced americano, the whole experience was literally too much to handle. to take my mind off it i read erin's thesis, which i have been putting off for a good year or so. big words scare me, i am more of a pretty pictures dude. that nite, i cracked mine open- just long enough to shiver at my own words in the author's note. the paper is not what i imagined but folks i've shown it to seem to really dig it. someone said it was velvetty. also, there are some unfortunate crops but i think it just makes me seem more "arty." i am now gearing up for the next step which is celebrating. spiral stairs said he'd dj the book launch but i need to ask him again when he is sober.
